Is a Safari Safe for Children?
Yes — with a professional guide and sensible rules, safaris are very safe. Children stay in the vehicle on game drives (wildlife largely ignores vehicles), lodges are fenced or escorted at night, and our guides are trained to pace the day around young attention spans and nap times. Many lodges welcome children of all ages; some conservancy camps accept kids from 4–6 years on activities.

- Maasai Mara: unbeatable wildlife density means constant action — crucial for keeping kids engaged. Big cats within the first hour is common
- Lake Naivasha: boat rides among hippos and walking among giraffes and zebras on Crescent Island — a highlight for children

Pacing: The Secret Ingredient
Adults will sit six hours on a game drive; children won't. We design family itineraries around two shorter drives a day (early morning and late afternoon), long pool-and-lunch breaks at midday, and lodges with swimming pools, gardens and family tents.
